I love bowling! Although I haven’t been in years, I still enjoy it to the fullest.
There are tremendous limitations in poverty. Rekisha works nights in Homecare, and days at My Cup of Tea. She has a busy 6-year-old daughter who is a Girl Scout, loves to dance and is attending a Charter School in Orange Mound.
She hasn’t bowled in a long while, because recreation and personal time off is out of the question. No time, no expendable income, no gas, no one to keep her daughter, and once again: she works two jobs.
She is a hero of mine.
