My Cup of Tea has arrived at the perfect time to establish a social enterprise where women can be trained for low-entry work in our tea packaging and distribution center.

Our potential of creating jobs is exponential. Tragically, jobs for the generationally poor women in Memphis hardly exist. Low-skilled women, no matter how motivated, do not have access to jobs offered beyond walking distance. Transportation is a key factor for the poor. There are few if any industries in Orange Mound. Now, we are starting one ... and, no matter how small, it will provide training leading to employment, but more importantly, hope!  As the trained rise to the top, we expect the pace to quicken.
